Extending the FEIN VersaMAG system:

Drilling & Fastening Grinding & Polishing
mobile VersaMAG VISE 160 L magnetic vice added to clamping system

The launch of the new VersaMAG VISE 160 L magnetic vice on 1 May 2026, adds a powerful variant for large and challenging components to the existing mobile VersaMAG clamping system. A second vice model is therefore now included, covering additional areas of use and greatly improving the system’s flexibility.

VersaMAG VISE 160 L – maximum clamping force for large components

The new VersaMAG VISE 160 L offers a clamping width of 160 mm and has been developed especially for precisely clamping large, heavy and complex workpieces. Thanks to its powerful magnetic holding force and robust structure, it is ideal for grinding, drilling and welding jobs as well as applications requiring great stability.

An integrated component and depth stop enables serial working and thereby ensures consistently precise processes and exact results. When combined with the compatible VersaMAG L system accessory, the vice can be turned into a mobile welding bench (400×400 mm).

Two sizes, one system – a wealth of potential applications

Both vices are based on the modular FEIN VersaMAG system with integrated permanent magnet and thereby permit particularly speedy and precise positioning – up to 10 times faster than with standard vice solutions.

The system is designed for:

  • Magnetisable surfaces – even on thin sheet metal as of 4 mm (with reduced holding force)
  • Rapid and precise positioning for safely working hands-free
  • Maximum freedom of movement without relying on limiting tracks
  • Scope for flexibly increasing range of applications using accessories, such as oversize jaws, protective jaws and welding plates

The system thereby covers a wide range of uses – from installation and service to stationary workshop and production processes.
